I have a 1001RB II as a back-up, It used to be one of my main amps before I went over to markbass. MM basses and GK go very well together.

I'm in the exact same situation.

This is how I had it at one point. I ended up taking the presence and tweeter all the way off.

They're great amps (especially for the money). I had mine set flat with contour all the way off, slight presence boost, tweeter completely off and boost at about 11 o' clock. It, with my Stingray produced a nice warm growl that cannot be duplicated with too many amps out there, even tube amps. I just got tired of lugging it around in a rack unit. I might pick another one up to keep for backup and the occasional change of pace.

Has anyone tried the new Fusion amp? That is very interesting as well. Last I heard, they would be available in Feb '08.
