I had a feeling it was going to be posted today and I kept checking. Guess they updated it at the end of their work day?

Interesting stuff (to me):
Both have stainless steel frets and poly finished necks.
3 Music Man® custom wound single coils featuring the new wide spectrum Music Man®
Buffered output

I'd like to see what the Hunter Hayes model brings.

Also, glad to see the Albert Lee P90 still available.

Aww geez. Might need to sell the Strat for a Cutlass. I really like the new trems. Not real happy to see they painted the neck though.

I'll be very interested to hear more news on these.

My long term arsenal goals have been a Majesty6, Majesty7, Taylor acoustic and a nice 'old new stock' type Fender Strat. 2/4 are checked off with the 7 and Strat remaining.

This cutlass might now be what fills that strat slot. Can't wait till we get more info on it.

What does it show/say on the back of the headstock on the Cutlass? Will there be a serial number on the neckplate like other balls?

It's the new "crafted in California" logo. There are a couple of threads about it already. Basically Crazy-ass California is now requiring products to be 100% made with US parts in order for a company to say "made in the USA". Since some parts on EBMM guitars are made over seas (tuning keys- Germany) they can't say made in USA by California law. Hence, the "crafted in California" logo... However "crafted" has significant implications as well due to the high level of attention to detail that goes into each guitar.

Nothing that a little heat gun couldn't take care of. LOL!

Yeah, I was a little sad about this, but seems like this is classic Leo with some modern appointments. Maybe the Hunter Hayes model will be gunstock oil finished.

Thanks Stratty - I haven't been around in a while. Can't catch up on everything that has transpired very quickly, so sorry if I ask questions that have already been covered. Is the serial number going to be on the back of the HS or on neckplate?

IMO - that satin finish will eventually turn glossy as the players palm slides over it. But, the owner could re-rough it up I suppose with scotchbrite pad or steel wool. Or just gently sand it off and then treat it with your choice of substances. I would use Birchwood Caseys as usual on a bare MM neck.

No worries Jim. I mentioned the other threads only because they are interesting reads. I believe serial number will be on neck plate since these are standard EBMM line up guitars and that's their thing. Unlike the old USA Sub series which were designed to be a low cost American guitar and possibly the reason for the difference.

I'm not worried about the satin finish on the neck, people aren't complaining about the old PDN Black Sugar guitars and those were built in 2011? Tollie has mentioned it's still one of his favorite guitars to play... Then there are the finished neck JPs to consider as well.
