Question:

When I plug my bass in the Amp and turn it on, the speakers give a small electrical buzz. But when I touch any of the metal on the bassguitar it stops.

What could be the problem ?

Sounds like a grounding problem. Have you tried the ground lift on the amp yet? You can always call CS at EBMM. From what I hear, they're the best in the biz!

Grounding problem - I had a similar problem, and it was solved buy just simply buying a new instrument cable..... not to say that a cable is your problem exactly, but I try to start off with the little things when solving a problem, hehe

Good Luck!

Whenever I'm getting buzz I always try these options first b4 crack open the bass.
1. Different outlet
2. Different cable
3. Moving away other electrical devices ie; Computers, laptops, tv's. My basses buzz like hell if I have my computer near them.
4. New battery

Usually if none of those do the trick something is up with the grounding in the bass.

Found it !

It was indeed a grounding problem. The outlet wasn't grounded, so I used another one and it worked perfectly !

I just bought an David Eden VT-300 to go with my Stingray and it sound excellent !

It's even better without the buzz :D

Thanks a lot guys/girls!

You're still looking a bit peaked. Better drink that Gatorade anyway. :p

Gatorade isn't very big over here (Netherlands)

we have AA

Ironicly that it's a sports drink without any alcohol.
No wait... that isn't ironic at all
