I had EB flats on my SR Classic V for a few weeks but although I absolutely love those strings on my P they didn't do it for me on the SR. Now I play Regular Slinkys again and am happy - for me the SR needs the highs and snap of rounds.

Don`t be scared off if you don`t like them at first, I`m a recent convert, and I had been wondering if I should go back to round wounds, I`ve been playing the flats for probably about 3 months. I decided to play my other stingray over the gigs I had last weekend, now I`m itching to throw some flats on it aswell...

I'm partial to the Group IIs; the best .105 E in my humble opinion of all brands I've tried. They get real nice after a couple of months and settle in nicely.

Flats on a 'Ray is a real unique sound; it's a flavor all its own in the mix. I'm not sure how to put it into words, but it's a little more focused and strident voice than a P w/ flats. Not better or worse (that's for the player to determine) but different. It's also a sound that plays real well with a properly tuned kick drum.
