Stingray H/S Volume Issue

Hi folks,

Don't know if this is actually a "volume issue", but what happens is that the output volume on my Stingray 5 H/S has some ups and downs as I change to some positions on the switch.

Specially when on positions 3 and 5, it loses gain... Any other H/S owners could tell me if this is a normal thing to happen?

All three coils seem to be working properly.

Thanks!

This is normal, the single coil positions have less output. This is especially the case with position 2. I usually compensate it by adding mids when using bridge or neck SC alone. This also emphasizes the SC's vintage character. In the middle position I usually reduce mids and add bass and treble instead.

On mine, positions 3 (all coils) and 5 (only bridge) are the ones where the problem occurs... 2 is ok...
