Hi all!

I am thinking of either getting a stingray or stingray sterling 4-string but i just have one question to ask... is the headstock non-angled? Like the headstocks on Fender basses?

It is non-angled but cut a little bit differently than Fenders (I guess! - that is, the headstock seems to be farther back than the neck); also the tapered posts provide a steep enough angle for the strings - almost like an angled-headstock. At least that's how it is on my SR5 and I believe this contributes greatly to famous SR5 B-string.

Count on me to provide a complex and hard-to-understand reply to a simple question.

I had a chance to play a stingray sterling and stingray with 3-band EQ and maple neck yesterday (didn't plan to go london and play them otherwise i wouldnt of started this thread ) Both basses were extremely good especially the sterling as it was very versatile because of the pickup switching option but the neck i didn't really that like, it was too thin for me, thinner than some Fender Jazz's i played on the same day (Or maybe it's just me? ) I prefer the normal stingray's neck, wasn't too chunky or thin, just right!

I am planning on getting a 4-string 3-EQ stingray in candy red with rosewood fretboard. Found some online stores to get it from but haven't received any replies yet. Does anyone have any UK online stores where i can get a stingray from? I've got already...
