I've been wondering whether a Stingray HH or HS could cope any tone a 3 band EQ single H Stingray can.
I know passive PJs with a VVT or blend knob setup will never sound like a true P due to the load the extra J pup introduces but on an HH/HS Ray the active preamp and the selector switch pretty much ensure the extra pickup shouldn't affect the tone of the bass when the bridge pup alone is selected and is a standard Stingray Alnico PU wired in parallel.
am I right?
