Any idea where I can find a set of the mute controls on the bridge for a late 80's Stingray? At my buddy's guitar repair shop there is a 87 Stingray bass he got in a trade is trying to bring back to life and sell it. Him and I were wondering if there are any mute pieces out there, not the foam but that actual lever and screw part on the bridge. I'm thinking of buying this bass from him and it is no big deal to not have the mutes, the bridge just looks more complete with the mutes and if there is any way, that'd be awesome...

I have heard people making them out of old mouse pads, or weather stripping. I think Gav(rodtrussbroken) has some info on how to make them on his website.

i wasn't actually talking about the actual mute pads...i was talking about the spring and screw that raises and lowers the mutes...

I have a set, how much is it worth to you? I'd be reluctant to let it go, but everything/everyone has their price.
