Hi fellas
I have a Pre EB Stingray. Presumably build in 1983 according to the database. Slab body, no shapings, 4 bolt neckplate, toploader bridge, slightly slimmer neck profile.
The typical things…
The problem:
The neck is pretty beaten up. A slight skijump, not much finish left. Same is true for the frets. It’s in desperate need for refretting.
Frankly: a lot of hassle…. Maybe too much.
As I always was curious about the status graphite replacement necks I feel that now would be a good time to try one out.
And here’s my actual question.
As the neck profile is different I was wondering if the neck pocket on the PreEB basses differs from todays EBMM Stingrays?
The number of bolts is unimportant as Status ships the necks without any holes drilled.
Anyone put a Status graphite neck on a Pre EB Stingray?
If I have to alter the neck pocket the whole idea loses it’s appeal instantly…
Thanks for your opinions
Cheers
