I agree;Big Poppa said:I hate "VS." They are great basses and so are ours...it is just personal preference
Agreed, they are both good. I pretty much learned to play on Jazz basses and have had about 6 (4 MIM,2 MIA) of them over the years.I always wanted a Stingray but it took me about 10 years of playing before I could finally afford one. I recently got a good deal on a used MIM Deluxe Jazz W/ active electronics.I have three EBMM's and had been with out a Jazz for about 4 years so i't's kind of cool having one again.I like it much better that the American Jazz I had for 3 years which I guess doesn't speak too well for the people in Corona,CA. Would I choose it for a gig over my Stingray? Hell No, but it's definitely good for what it is....Big Poppa said:I hate "VS." They are great basses and so are ours...it is just personal preference
Beacuse it's #4 in line behind my SR4,SR5 and Sterling. It's a good bass but I just feel that my EBMM basses play and sound better. The J sound has it's place and if I needed it for a certain song I would use it but otherwise I can pretty much cover everything with a Stingray. As far as the necks on Jazz basses I think they are very comfortable but so are Stingray necks. It's all a matter of opinion and/or personal preference. Play what you like and play it like you mean it....draganr said:why wouldnt you choose it over your stingray - at least from time to time?
