i think its kinda steep considering gc platinum wanted 10.000$ for it :)

but i understand that what the market wants to pay decides what it is worth..

B001000 is still for sale?

Reportedly it was sold twice, and a little later put up again at higher prices.
I don't know whether that means people paid for it, only to try and sell it right away, or that people pushed the "buy" button without being able to pay.

best,
bert

Got a 1+2 on Eurojackpot :D ...still not enough (about 10 euros, or let's say 12 US bucks)

Next week is my turn for higher score, ...well, I hope! :p

OK, ...some "suspicious minds" are going around in our domestic Music Forum in Music Man Club thread about this B001000 Stingray, ...so I wonder if someone from EBMM company can confirm information that this Stingray is really a serial No.1?

BP, A.J., ...anyone...?

I can't find an old thread about this, so please if company headquarters would be so kind to agree, or disagree with S/N B001000 as an authentication of No.1 Stingray?

The one thing I would say, subject to EBMM input Keko, is if Andy Baxter is selling it then chances are 99.99% it is what it is, the guy is a great seller and VERY well respected, exceptionally well researched, NOT cheap for sure, but he does find top notch axes and he is a quality act.

Re the serial number:

"Fender. The Inside Story" (by Forrest White) makes reference to serial B001000 as being the first production model Music Man Bass.

(I suppose many would expect the serial to be B000001).

OK, ...thanks for the input, ...according the S/N, ...but how can I be sure that someone didn't fake that S/N on the neck joint plate?
