Hi, after replacing stock pickup in my 89 SR4, i´ve noticed pots dates are so distant, volumen pot is dated in 88, trebble in 83 and bass in 79 , all pots seems original, very clean and noiseless, I wonder if it is possible EBMM stocked some NOS parts from pre-eb era, not only pots but also pickups and necks.

Thanks.

I believe parts were inherited from Music Man. Some of the pots I've ordered from Ernie Ball (eg 2EQ Bass control lug pots) are dated 1979. Also, early Ernie Ball Sabre Basses had the Pre-EB serial stamped on the bridges (C00xxxx). There's more but that's what comes to mind at the moment.

pacop, if your Bass looks right, it is right.
