Hi all, new forum member.

I'll hopefully stick around, but I have joined up because of an issue I could do with some help with. I'm currently doing a little tidying up on my friends Stingray both the volume pot and the tone control next to it could do with replacing. The vol has a bent shaft (which is annoying my mate, although it still works) and on the (treble?) control the threads on the collar are quite damaged so you can't really tighten it up properly. So he'd like me to just replace them for nice new ones.

I have a little stash of pots to use in P-basses etc, but as you all probably know these are kind of unique. They look like CTS pots with solid brass shafts, but they have long PCB legs that drop down into the pre-amp PCB. I've not seen these anyway, not sure if they are available from anywhere?

If anyone knows the values, sizes (collar/shaft length etc) and the easiest work around if I have to use pots with regular lugs that would be great (I'm guessing I could cut the legs off these pots and solder them to the solder lugs on regular pots or something) ... your experiences of replacing these or any other details that might be useful that would save me a lot of bother. He would like to keep it original as possible, so if I can get replacements that would be best.

Thanks a lot in advance, I'm on the other side of the pond, so just heading to bed, but I can post pictures tomorrow if that would help anyone, or make clear what I'm asking about.

Si
