Hi Everyone.
I’m very fortunate to own 2 different Stingray guitars and I really like the guitars and pickups overall.
My standard Stingray I’m keeping in standard tuning but for a project I’m doing I’m going to use the RS in a lower tuning and playing high gain modern stuff.
The pickups for this purpose are not what I like or need. And before you comment, I’ve used an EQ pedal in front and lowered the pickups and it’s still not the result I want.
So I’d like to ask anyone who owns a stingray and has changed the pickup for the same reasons as me, What pickup did you choose?
I live in a place where I can’t just buy something and send it back unless it has a fault so I’d just like to be able to make a confident purchase. Passive is preferred.
