Factory spec for the StingRay guitars is
BRIDGE Low E- 3/32" High E - 2/32"
NECK Low E - 5/32" High E - 4/32"
What sounds better really depends a lot of your gear/setup. Personally with any guitar I start with the neck pickup at close to or a little under factory spec, adjust the high E vs low E sides for the volume balance that makes sense to my ears and then I adjust the bridge pickup so the volume compared to the neck pickup is what I want.
