So this is a StingRay Sighting/show-band review ...

So I saw A Wilhelm Scream last night in SF. They opened up for Strung Out.

The bassist for Wilhelm Scream plays an SR4. His main axe is a red SR4 with black PG and it looked like he had a Natural with black PG on stage as a backup ...

So the best way I can describe Wilhelm Scream is that they're Face to Face meets Iron Maiden. They're super meoldic like Face to Face and have duel leads like Iron Maiden ... harmonized solos and all. So the guitarists harmonize a lot and do a bunch of cool stuff and the bassist holds down the fort perfectly while delivering awesome backup vocals. This band's backup vocals are GREAT. 2 one guitarist and the bassit are ALWAYS supporting the lead singer & they do it well. They're super nice dudes too. I talked to the bassist at the merch boothe later and he was really nice ... We were talking bass and he says he'd been using EB for the last 6 years.

Anyways ... this isnt the guitar forums but I feel like I have to give props to one of Wilhelm Scream's lead guitarists. This guy will be doing some aweomse tapping (as the rhythm - not an actual solo) while the other guitarist plays a harmonized tap ... but just to step it up a notch he'll be delivering great backign vocals as he taps away.

Great band ... great show ... dude plays an SR4. we should all be fans :)
