Hello,

I'm interested in getting an SLO special Ray, as I love the Sterling neck. Those of you who have played one, how was the tone? Same as a regular Ray?

Im not 100% sure as mine is a hog body. But yes it is the same as a stingray. Must say that i do find that there are some slight differences in feel between sr4 slo and sterling necks. Also the heel transition into the body is different. I still prefer the real sterling neck but the slo is verry close and sr4 tone does the trick for me. If you want i can measure em both up if you need exact sizes to compare.... just let me know.

No need for measuring. Thanks. :)

I have a 93 sterling, 90 stingray and an 09 slo special. The necks are very similar and the voice of the slo special is heavy, solid, perfect. You will love it.

I do indeed love it. I ordered one in January and it arrived this week. I can't put it down! And I LOVE the black cherryburst color. :)
