Hi I'm new here and have a quetion...

How does EB build their Maple necks??

Are the Maple Fingerboards/Necks one piece?

or

Is the Maple Fingerboard a separate piece and glued/bonded to the neck?

Just curious....

Thanks,

I do believe that the necks are bonded to the fingerboards. They shape the neck, and form out the area in the middle of the neck for the truss rod, then piece it together with the fretboard seamlessly. Better than any company I know of... :)

Thanks Darrell,

Sounds like EB does it right... I'm in the market for 5 string to go with my old Fender that I've had since my 14th Birthday(I'm going on 40 now). I really like the SR-5 natural/maple, white pickguard.....
