From one of the Dudepit guys:

"A friend of mine had his black maple board Stingray 5 stolen from his car New Years Eve. He lives just outside of Seattle.

It has a mirrored guard and skull knobs.

If anyone has info please contact me ([email protected]) and/or Larry Harwood ([email protected])."

Keep an eye out, boys. With the mirrored guard and skull knobs, it should stand out, wherever it turns up.

M&^%f*$#ng thieves!

That's bad news.

I fear that the things that make this bass unique are too easy to replace, which will help the theives - gotta serial #?

I doubt it will make it's way across the pond, but let's all keep an eye on the Bay peeps!

There's nothing I'd want stolen, but if something of mine had to be, I'd make it anything but the basses I own.

Asshole theives.

Even though i'm down here in Alabama, i'll keep my eyes open. I'm always browsing the stores. Will report if anything comes up cap'n.

Stealing a man's bass is like stealing his woman. You just don't do it!

Its worse, the woman would have to willing.

Really, try to get a serial number, I've got relatives (one an ex spook) in the Seattle area, I'd be happy to send them on a pawn shop patrol, sale papers and such. They would love a mission.

Start checking Craigslist for the region (CA, OR, WA, BC, etc.) as well as Harmony-Central.

A long shot, for sure, but still worth checking out every couple of days.

I'll cruise the ads and keep an eye open.

I got you covered here in Oregon. I, too, have had an S/R stolen and completely relate.

Sorry for your loss, and again, I'll keep an eye out here in P-land.

No serial number recorded as far as I know.

Which should be a reminder to all of you - take good photos and record your serial numbers!
