Hows it going EBMM players!

Just found out last night that my BFR JP6 was stolen/missing. Had no idea since how long, it stays in a case.

Spent a day calling the police, and pawn shops / music stores in my area (Vancouver Island).

Got a PM from an unknown user (4 posts) on the ESP Boards saying that he saw a guitar that he thought looked like mine on ebay, and was just wondering if it was mine. I had not told anyone that it was stolen...called up the music store that was selling the guitar on ebay, checked serial numbers and worked out that my guitar had made its way from Vancouver Island to Seattle, WA.

WHAT THE ****!?

First off that's a great looking BFR. Man, that's a bit of luck you found it. So how difficult is it going to be to get it back. Don't think the shop is gonna be too happy paying out or taking trade on a stolen guitar.

I am grateful that I am moving...then I can secure everything properly.

Glad it is on it's way. If not, I could help you get it back. Done that before. Sucks to begin with but at least the shop was cool and you are getting it back.

Like yourself, I too was blessed because the forums helped me retrieve a stolen guitar.
I am glad I can be thankful for you as well.

Well do you have a clue as to was in your house and walked out with it. Obviously it was someone who knows you as they knew where you keep your guitars and only left with one. Glad it is on its way back as that is one guitar anyone would feel sick about.

Wow. What a story.

Your moving to a new area sounds like a good thing. Time to get some new friends too.

Make sure you put insurance on your gear. I have mine included as part of my Homeowners Policy. Use Retail Cost for value.
