I lke them all but usually stick with single pu models....I have been playin the bongo the most...3 band no piezo. My problem Is that I havent played since the CLB. Need to fix that.

When I do play guitar or bass Im sort of efects challenged. I find my sound and dont change from song to song. POn guitar my newest effects rack is a club soda, dash of reverb and the pickup selector.

I may break out a hum single Sterling next.....

Good bass, that one. Many of the Forumites played it at the Open House in 2005.

Do you have one? Heh. Kids, BP has a living room/dining room/laundry room full of mostly acoustic guitars at the ranch. Ben and I were wandering around the house, eating exotic beef and stealing silverware when we came upon a Sterling in the corner. (I mean a bass, not the homeowner.)

The E string seemed fine, but looked as if it had never been attached to the tuning post on the headstock. It was through the bridge, but was flopped out on the floor like a dead tapeworm.

We were standing there, just looking at it and feeling sorry for it, really, when BP came up.

Ben said, "You know, I bet I could go ahead and attach that string for you, Sterling."

Sterling said, "No, no, it's been like that forever! I like it that way!" And he led us off to see his stuffed pirahna collection.

I have to say this is a horrible day.

Went back to the store today to make a down payment of the sterling, looked around and...

THE BASS WAS GONE.

So i asked about the whereabouts of this bass and... Someone bought it just a few hours before that.

Lucky bastard, i'm gonna miss the naked sterling... :(

When I bought my SUB5 I was going to A-B it against a SR5. It never happened, the price was too low to put it down. I had several other players come into the bass section and say, "you would be crazy not to buy it at that price." I didn't want to take the chance of putting it down and some one else snatching it up. I have hesitated too many times in the past and missed a good deal. Better luck next time, I know that feeling all to well.

Jack that was a new prototype bionic E string charged with nuclear thing a ma bobs...I didnt want Ben to touch it with a gig the next night. (I was hoping that you would however) It was a bad marketing idea I had....It was going to be called the "Vasectom-E" because of its tonal range and neutering aftereffect. Wonderdog nixed it due to liability issues, and Beth thought it was sexist. I thought it might be great in some third world countries.
