I think they are Duncans or something cheaper, you can see circles on the polepieces which means they are steel instead of alnico.

They are definitely the wrong size for a Sabre and if you look close you can see the pickup cavities don't quite look right.

I think the bidding is that high because there's no mention that the pickups are not original and the pickup cavities have been modified.

I wonder why the body has a truss rod access notch at the neck heel when the truss rod is at the headstock?

Why is the whole mute assy so far forward from the bridge? The thumbscrews don't even pass through the bridge plate, they're right infront of the leading edge of the bridge plate. And those bridge saddles look home made. Pickups way out of alignment.
Yeah, and that divot carved into the body for a truss adjuster...yikes!

It sold for $1225.00! :eek: :confused:

Crazy! That's what one in mint condition should sell for, not that hunk of junk. Somebody's been had.
