I probably have this wrong, but Bongos only say "Music Man", rather than "Ernie Ball Music Man". I believe there has been talk of the words "Ernie Ball" being removed from future instruments and only being used on strings and accessories. Music Man will be the instrument arm as others have said.
So until this happens there are going to be instruments that say both, but I don't know if/when this will happen. But I believe that was the original plan.
