Strap Locks

I Don't get it, what's wrong with just putting the strap on the buttons?

All it takes is having the strap come off and dropping your instrument once to get the point.

It's safer with the strap locks, the guitar can't fall and you can move without worry about it

Never happened to me except with my very old Str@t, tho bolt itself would actually fly out, and I didn't really care about that.

Because sometimes the strap can come off the buttons since there's nothing "holding" it on, the guitar falls to the floor, and the headstock can break off. I don't want that to happen.

I have always been a fan of the Schaller ones myself, plus use can use the original strap button screw that is in your ball already.

At a gig once, on of the bar patrons decided to bring me a shot while we were playing, he bumped my guitar on accident and if it wasn't for my singer's quick hands, I would have had guitar with a broken neck

Had an SG fall off the strap and crash to the floor - since then I have used straplocks.

I NEVER play without strap locks! All my guitars have them. Hell, I bought the straplocks for my JP6 while it was still being built! I had them on before I even played it the first time. Such a small price to pay for security! Oh yeah, I use the Schaller ones. I hadn't heard about the EB strap locks. Then again, I haven't bought any new guitars lately.

I believe the top part with the "Ernie Ball" text would slide off (after pulling up on it, perhaps) and then you'd see that the lower part gets screwed into the guitar body. The "Ernie Ball" part would go through the holes in your guitar strap.

I'm just speculating though, 'cause obviously I've never seen these babies in person.
