I use the dimarzio clip lock straps and so as not to damage the finish i wrap a used wonderwipe around each of them when i put my guitars in their cases , you could use a baby socks to do the same thing!

get The Eb Strap Locks Then Get A Moody Luxury Leather Strap, Nice And Comfy:)

I like the Moody straps too. The DiMarzio is fine. I like the cotton ones. I just didn't want those plastic things dangling off my guitars anymore. I have one of those on an old Ib@nez RG. I prefer an arrangement featuring strap and straplocks. That's especially true of the creamy feel of a Moody strap. I like leather Levy straps too.

Wow! Lot's of great responses. Now, here's a different question.

Do people go for a Garment leather padded strap, or just the straight up leather? My local music store (if you can even call it that) Only had straight up leather levy's straps. They also carry lots of Ernie Ball items, but didn't even know that there was such a thing as EB straplocks!

I'd say go try them out. Lay them over your shoulder and see what you like best. I have one padded Levy that I like. My other "main" guitars have just plain Moody leather.

I just use a good ol' Levy's strap that I got way back when I got my OLP....It's not like I gig or anything, but if I did, I'd invest in some strap locks, fo' sho'.

I like the Planet Waves Joe Satriani tubular nylon straps. Very comfortable and move freely over the shoulder. I find that leather straps are harder to get the right fit, connect strap locks to, and not as flexible. Now, I need to get a set of EB Strap Locks.

I usually use these Guitar Straps by Italia Leather Straps. Bass Guitar Strap They used to also sell on eBay, which is where I got mine, for less than what they usually sell for on their own site. Very well made and comfy. Also gave a couple to my kid.

I also have and sometimes use Levy, especially one made of garment leather which is finely adjustable through a slide and lock arrangement, like most nylon straps use. This has been my main strap for 10 years or so before getting the Italia ones.

I use and plan to stick with Schaller straplocks.

Am I the only one here with a 10yr old original EB nylon strap and no strap locks? I can't see needing anything else.

The idea of using no strap locks makes me cringe, and nylon straps give me rug burn.

Well, that's what I used to use on my Silo Spec until I got it a Moody. I have a similar non-EB strap on my JP6.

I also use an EB Inked Strap from the Desert Domination EB swag bag on my Bongo.

Well, EBMM straplocks haven't showed up near me yet. I currently use and love Schaller (and the modified Goeldo version) straplocks and the US & Canadian made LM straps Mick turned me on to. Nice, broad, lightweight ...and they also make a strap that fits my Pearl Lavender Silo perfectly...

All my guitars have dunlop strap locks fitted.
I only have one really decent strap that I just switch between them all.
I really should get another decent strap though.
Strap is a suede leather Levy one cos me like £35, I bought it day I bought my first Axis.

Straplocks are for cissies....real men have the reflexes to catch the guitar before it hits the floor..............usually!

Another vote for Moody. I have several straps from Allison, some that she hand made herself (back in the day when she did that)
