Hi Guys

Could any one post a pic to this forum showing us what one of these "stress cracks" looks like on your JP-MMs?

Are they only a cosmetic flaw or do they actually effect the playability of the guitar?

Much appreciated, thanks...

Stress cracks DO NOT affect the playability. To be honest many bolt on guitars develop over time, stress cracks in the finish by the neck pocket due to the expansion and contraction of the body wood and the finish's inability to be as flexible. In my case my desert gold JP had them when I got it shipped, I had an ish with the electronics so I sent it back to Jon and figured I;d order a new body while I was at it.

I have not had an issue with the stress cracks. It is just a crack in the finish as OC stated. Does not hinder the guitars sound, tone or playability. I read somewhere that the finish is hard and is not flexible to move with the expanding and contracting of the neck and what not. There is a big post somewhere on here about it.
