Its actually a little confusing, but Biannual is really suppose to be twice a year and Biennial is every two years.

What confuses me is that Biennial is one of the definitions for Biannual, so i guess it can mean both? :confused:

Semiannual = twice a year

From Merriam-Webster.com
Main Entry: bi·an·nu·al
Pronunciation: (")bI-'an-y&(-w&)l
Function: adjective
1 : occurring twice a year
2 : BIENNIAL 1

Main Entry: bi·en·ni·al
Pronunciation: (")bI-'e-nE-&l
Function: adjective
1 : occurring every two years
2 : continuing or lasting for two years; specifically : growing vegetatively during the first year and fruiting and dying during the second

I change strings often, once every month. I change them one at a time to keep the tension on the neck. When cleaning the fretboard, all the strings comes off. So I do both, and I've never had a problem either way. All adjustments happens when the strings are tuned to pitch.
