Ello everybody.
What would everybody recommend: hybrid slinky or regular slinky? Do the higher strings still sound good when soloing with regulars, or do hybrids give a better effect?

My opinion - it's all about feel and playing comfort. Playing better sounds better, and I play better with 9s, so that is the answer for me and my guitar. However, on electric guitars different gauges do not sound significantly different, despite what you might read in magazines or online. It is not a huge difference.

(In fact, Rob Chapman even did a test where he went from 008s to 011s. Significant difference in feel and tension, naturally, but very little change in sound. String Gauge Shootout - 8's Vs 11's - YouTube)

If I was tuning down on the ow strings, I might go with the Hybrid slinkys otherwise I'd stick with regular.
