i think i will try out the fast fret cleaner and different brand of strings. by the way, can you use fast fret on maple fingerboard?

Yep definitely. Just wipe up any excess with the little cloth they give you.

Strange. It should have done.

1. Build-up of gunk on strings reduces treble response.
2. Loss of treble response = dead strings.
3. Removal of gunk prolongs treble response.
4. Prolonging treble response extends life of strings.
5. Fastfret removes gunk.
6. Fastfret extends life of strings.

Of course, if (like me) you like strings to lose their treble response then point 4, and therefore point 6, are false.

How often were you using it?
