Maybe this belongs on the string section of the forum but I never go there so it goes here.

I heard on the radio the a large chain retailer G.C. is offering Ernie Ball electric guitar strings at a good price. Even if it is still 3 months until you scheduled string change, this weekend might be a good time to by some.

On the other hand, It's always a good time to buy and change your Ernie Ball Guitar strings.

Thanks for the heads-up, NorM.

I hope bass strings are included.. I was recording some tracks yesterday and my bass needs new strings in a big way...

and of course, you can never have too many sets of Super Slinky strings around the house.

Not just around the house but in every guitar case!
In the Gig Bag.
In the car.
It sucks when you break a string and you don't have a replacement.

Go change strings on a friends guitar as a random act of kindness.

New strings make your guitar sound so good. What a treat! Do something nice for yourself this weekend.

I'm living proof of that... I think I've got four dozen around here right now, not to mention various packets in guitar cases and gig sacs and where ever...

I've got to admit, I love being able to change strings where ever and when ever I fancy in just a couple minutes... :D

BP, Just wondering....

Does the "MAP" not apply to strings?

It's always interesting to me to see other companies advertise a sale like this, where other companies (who shall remain nameless) have the same low price or better every day.

I just went by my local GC (East Brunswick, NJ) - they don't stock any RPS! I was flabbergasted...

Well, not really, I just wanted to type flabbergasted today...

I used to play those when I had a guitar with Kahler trem. But they got really hard to find. GC just stopped selling them.

Since I sold the guitar, I'm cool with the regular Hybrid Slinkies.

When I used to go out in the field, I would bring along 100's of packs to give to the military fellas who have trouble getting them "over there"....really brightened up their day....I would literally buy out my local GC when I knew I was going somewhere, so they kept me stocked at all times....

boooooo!

(kidding!)

i actually made the switch to eb strings right before the open house. i was dead set on d'addarios for years, and kept a/b'ing them - they were pretty darn close to my ears for sound and longevity.

after the open house i've jumped into a whole other realm of brand loyalty :D
