Greetings!

Though what ails me is not an EBMM bass - I am hoping that an EBMM product can help me out. Hopefully the correct string choice will make things better.

I just got an old Gibson EB3-L. It has the slot headstock – so I think it is a 69. The Gibson logo is some sort of abalone like material glued on.

But – it also has a rubber truss rod. I am getting an annoying amount of forward bow. The truss rod seems to be adjusted as tight as it goes. When string tension is off there is some back bow.

So – I am wondering what type of round wounds would have the least tension that I can put on. Anyway to measure or know this?

Thanks

- Ziggy -

The thinner the string, the lesser the tension. Ernie Ball Extra Slinky bass strings will have the least amount of tension.
