Hello all:

See the pic I attached - doesn't it look like the Bongo has a string thru body? Or is this a piezo model? The site I got the pic from didn't say anything about it being a piezo model.

Just curious....

why is nothing said about that in the specs anywhere? i've been to allot of sites looking at the Bongos - none have been advertised as being String thru.

What's up with that?

This would be news to me, and I have two of 'em - neither string thru. Not that I'd feel good or bad one way or the other; I've had basses with both options and frankly could never tell any tonal difference.

Had a hell of a time stringing a 35" Lakland with flats through the body....ended up using the bridge thru option. Difference?

Zip.

Hm... I see a single Humbucker config for the Bongo. Has anyone tried that out?

One thing to keep in mind is that those Bongo pics on the EB site have been up there for quite a while....since before production models hit the stores. So....not sure, but there could have been changes made BEFORE the Bongo went into big-time production, rather than after.

Ah, I see. That might explain why there's no way to reach that page on the MM website. Haha

Those photos on the website are over a year old. We do have plans to update the photos but are also trying to redesign the website.

The Bongos are string thru the bridge production
basses.
