my brand new silhouette hard tail has a nasty problem.
When i play any string without palm-muting the others, one or two strings(usually low e and/or g string) slightly pickup the vibration/noise of the played string, It gives some sort of nasty "double tone" that i cant f**king stand! this may sound stupid but i cant explain it other wise. i was at sam ash today and the sales man didnt really get it but suggested the pickups are too hot and are picking up overtones. my hardtail tele does not do this. nor did the us1 strat i tried in the store. HELP!! ANYBODY!! :(

holy roller!!!

:)
brotha let me tell you, it works!!! thank you 100 times!!
i mean it, now it sounds awesome, clean or dirty. i think i really like these paf pro's. just by lowering them it sounds so much better. it's not as loud as before but, tone is key, and they are much more natural sounding especially with mild overdrive for the blues. now the strings dont cross-talk(i can't think of a better word). now i fell like kicking myself in the head for not trying it before. did anyone else have this problem? if so how did you fix it.
