I have an N4. I love it. Never read a bad review. I love my JP6. I find them useful for different things. I love musicman, but most of the players I like don't play them. Each to their own really. I would defend EBMM to the hilt. I dont believe anybody produces quality to the same consistency for the price that they do. But I still love my N4.

I have friend who went to a local music store with his sister to help her buy a guitar. And my friend sister said to the owner/sales guy "My brother told me to get a acoustic like a washburn or something"

sales guy " hmm your brother must not like you very much!"

LOL

Now the funny part is washburn's are made about 5 miles from this place.......

I just keep reminding myself that Hendrix played '70s Strats for Christ's sake! Most of the '70s Strats I've played were barely fit to be firewood

Actually, Jimi used it as firewood!!! :p

Actually, as much as I love JP and his playing, his forum community often leaves a lot to be desired. Paul Warren works really hard to prevent this (and has done an amazing job with it, it's come a long way) but there's still a large element to it that just irks me.
Hm, I think the JP forums are actually quite good, but I generally hang around the Gear forum, which I think has a much less immature composition than the General Music Chat. I've definitely seen other forums which are much worse. As far as I'm concerned, a discussion forum should be a place for interested people to share information and help each other (hence the name "discussion"), not engaging in chest-thumping "alpha-male" behavior.

I'd concur that this site is one of the best in terms of both content and maturity level. I can't recall the last posting I saw with the word "sux0r" in the title, anyway. ;)

Lets learn from this and make sure that we dont get caught up in the same stuff.
THis is why I dont bash other choices in guitars and basses. This is why I think it is important to welcome new posters and steer them into the Forum groove.

Having said that I think washburns suck.....sorta kidding....... I dont like the stuff they sell in Target that from my experience is unplayable. THey arent the only ones but A mom or Dad buys his kid a guitar and the kid cant play it and we lose another future guitarist. Its under the bed next to the bowling ball. THeir regular stuff is fine. That Lion crap is dismal

I know why this forum and EBMM gear is so great.
Its the honest Love and Passion that BP and his crew put into everything they do.
They treat people like they would want to be treated.
There is some serious good Karma instilled in all they touch.

Wise words. That's why I love this place.

Anyway, at the end of the day it's still the player, not the gear, that makes music special. Who cares what's better if it floats your boat and makes you happy to play.
