SUB 5 assembled - pic w/clear p/g
I received the body today FedEx and wasted no time putting her back together - the only trouble was the paint build-up around the control cavity, so I fired up the Dremel with a small diameter grinder bit to open up the cavity a bit - pretty quick actually. This is a gloss paint job - to answer one of the questions + to answer another question, the paint was $335 (martybellfinishing.com) + around $50 for the two contours (Eric's Guitar in Van Nuys, CA). As you can see, I also bought chrome AND black pickguard screws - black is a nice contrast on the clear p/g and it outlines the classic round p/g shape. I think I actually like the clear better now that I see it on the bass. My original "idear" was black. What's your vote?
