I found this thread while searching:
http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-basses/6223-compensated-nut-subs.html

but the question remains since I don't know the production run dates of the SUB basses - Did ALL SUB basses have compensated nuts or just the later ones? I'm looking at a nice SUB 5 and I was just curious if it had the nut or not. It's too small of a picture to tell on the dealer website.

Thanks

Are you saying you have a Primary pair as well?! Talk about having a backup plan! Sorry, I couldn't resist! :D

The two I owned had regular nuts. The fretless was made Nov. 3, 2003 and the fretted one was made May 23, 2006. Both were 5 string versions.

Either of my subs, guitar or bass do not have them. They were introduced sometime in 2005 on all models, and even my 2005 sub does not. I've yet to see a sub with it.

All the more recent Sub Basses have them except the fretless models. I love SUB's :D
