SUB Guitar review

I was at NAMM and I played the SUB guitar, but I rarely post on this site so I didnt say anything about it but there seems to be some interest so I thought I would give you guys me review, anyway, the guitar had a neck that felt very similiar to my silhouette special if not identical, the paint on the back of the neck didnt seem to cause any sticking either, it was still smooth, just not as smooth as unfinished maple, the pups sounded a bit hotter than the dimarzios in the silhouettes, the hardware seemed to have a shinyness to it, like the bridge which had vintage saddles like the silhouettes and the Luke was shiny, so I felt that the hardware was maybe made somewhere else possibly. The tuners were different as well, they were locking I believe, but they had a different system to lock them, there was something you turned on the front of the tuner, they were closer to a PRS locking tuner than sperzels, the only issue I have with the Guitar is the finishes, they are rough, and they felt a bit abrasive against my arm while playing, but that may not be a problem at all, it wasnt annoying me or anything, it just didnt feel smooth like my axis and silhouette, but again it wasnt like sand paper, also ther were no countours in the guitar, the guitars body is like the morse but smaller like a silhouette, anyway hope this gives everyone an idea of what to expect -

Excuse my ignorance but the SUB guitar is not on the Music Man web-site. Is it supposed to be a EB/MM model in the mid-range guitar price?

Thanks

SUB

Yeap,
That's what it is. I played mine (active) alongside a Fender percision USA, Fender jazz USA, Fender Jazz Japan.
Four of us voted the SUB #1 and the Fender Jazz Japan actually came in second.
That's my welll uh free word's of the day.:D

My SUB1 should be here any day now. I believe I am one of the first, if not the very first, player to order one! The review above is VERY accurate. These things are going to sell like hotcakes.

So, is the $650 the list price or the retail price?
There's seldom much difference in the first few months of a model's life, is there? Cost of ownership is higher if you want the latest and greatest... :D

turns out the models at NAMM were just the prototypes and the actual guitar won't be released till April! Looks like I have to wait a few months before they build mine. At least I'm getting my Axis Super Sport next week!
