sub guitar

When the sub guitar gets introduced today how will we lowly Ernie Ball Music Man freaks here on the forum (The people most likely to buy a guitar) find out about it?

Since the EBMM guitar advertising is limited to word of mouth, could you give us, the people who are talking about it, something to talk about?

A non guitar playing musician friend of mine asked "How come I've never heard of Music Man?" I responded, "They were waiting for me to tell you about it."

The SUB guitar is pretty cool...Silhuoette shape w/o body contours..1 or 2 humbuckers, hardtail or trem options, textured finish like the SUB bass, a slightly larger neck carve, painted neck, and it sounds great....Jon

right now there are only 6 SUB guitars, and they are all at the NAMM Show..Maybe some forumite will be there with a camera and post pics.....Jon

I saw the sub guitars!

KInda cool colors, a bit different and more subtle than the sub bass colors. I plan on playing one saturday if it's okay with the booth guys.

I'd note that us posters might not be fully satisfied with the sub line of guitars. It's a step or 3 down from the ones we love.

BTW The booth is full on pirate themed with employees dressed as pirates. Easily the coolest looking booth at namm.

COOL SIGHTINGS

Jim Marshall (yes that Marshall) signing autographs at the korg/marshall/vox booth.

Laurence Juber (fantastic fingerstyle guitarist) at GHS booth
get his "L J Plays the Beatles" cd

1 color is a sort of greyish black.

a couple of steve morse models are available to noodle on, you never see those at the local shop.

apparently several sparkle colors will soon be available for other models. WARNING-- not as stunning as burnt apple or blue dawn though.

Theres a red sparkle luke piezo which is attractive. Also a bronze sparle petrucci that looked nice.

My favorite guitar at the booth was an Axis SS piezo in quilted cherry burst maple neck matching hdstk mm90's.

Sorry no camera.

While coming out of the Luke set at the Hilton last nite, I brushed by Neal Schon who apparently was waiting to get in. NAMM celebrity sighting #1.

I bought a SUB guitar! Graphite finish, one humbucker. It plays amazing well, and even though the neck is painted, it's still almost as slick as the oiled and waxed necks on the other EB guitars. It's basically a plug and play guitar, so it'll be awesome live. It doesn't have locking tuners, but it stays in tune beautifully. It should be coming next week.

for godsake people i need to see what one looks like!*&&^#@ please please please........................

For God's sake man, tell us where?!? and how much?!?

puh-leeze :D

I ordered it at the NAMM show. They weren't selling the models they had displayed, so I have to wait until they build it. I think it's gonna retail around $600, but the double humbucker model is slightly more. It should be getting shipped along with my new Axis Super Sport in Pacific Blue Burst!
