Hey folks... I just got the disc from our last performance a week or so ago with the Brushfire gang, and here are a couple of clips to share. These are with my new SUB 4 fretless. I think the feed into the board/multitrack was a little hotter than normal, so that kind of stinks... it clips in a few spots, but nothing too horrible. One clip is from a solo in the middle of a tune where I usually get a feature, and the other is a pretty cool new tune our guitarist wrote about... well... going skiing. haha! I never knew that until he told us the meaning of the lyrics. As usual, these are mostly direct to the board, with a bit of room mic bleed, and a tad bit of compression from my Aphex Punch Factory. Anyway, hope you enjoy the sounds of the SUB!

Feature Solo 1-30-07 Gig (1.5 megs)

Dropping In (5 megs or so)

Cool solo. I need to get me a fretless.

The wife still feels the pain of the recently purchased Bongo 5, so I am a few months away from a fretless!

thanks again for the kind words, gents. i've never been happier with the sound of the bass in these recent mixes in various projects i've been a part of lately, with this band being just one of them. i did a session the other week with my fretted SUB (with the flats) for a guitarist that is cutting a new record. the piece was a really cooking new orleans/stevie ray vaughan/blues type of tune, and the SUB punched right through and gave the whole mix a new feel and drive. i love these basses!
