hey all - after many testimonials from the recently TI flat-converted as well as TI veterans, i finally got the courage and the funds to put a set on my SUB.
after my first playing with the band live, all i have to say is - WOW...wow! super slinkies are great, but TI Flats...WOW! being a finger style player, i never realised i could get mids and low mids from my bass like this. i can now get a thick, chewy, smooth delicious sound with minimal EQ. and sustain seems not to be afftected, altho my sound engineer was saying i had lost some sustain from FOH perspective
despite they're low tension, for some reason they feel tighter than the super slinkies...maybe setup?
anyways, thank you to all the TI flats club members here on the forum, especially ebmuscmanlvr83...God bless all!
p.s. all fingerstyle players should try these flats at least once in their lifetime - you are missing out!
