Just recently purchased a Sub1 HH w/trim. Love the guitar (especialy after replacing the neck PU with Dimarzio Air Norton)

Anyway...The store I purchased from (Guitar Gallery) couldn't locate the original wammy bar so they ordered another. After 4 weeks it finally came.

This bar when installed, just flops around and hangs down. I perferr my bar to stay where I put it. There also doesn't seem to be any way to adjust the tension.

Is this normal for this trem ? Maybe wrong bar ?

Please advise,

Thank you

Randy

Drop pitch...look at the back of the trem block...there should be an allen set screw that when tightened, will give you the tension you're looking for...

When I first read the title I thought perhaps there was a new SUB 1, with some kind of binding (trim), but now I see it's a trem question...oops. Congrats and let's see some pics. Also if after tightening you are still not happy call customer service and have them send you a new bar!

Thanks OrangeChannel for the prompt response (thank you too Raz)

I DO see the allen screw. Will give it a try.

Unfortunately I had to sell several beautiful guitars (Parker Fly, PRS CE 24 to name a few) due to financial difficulties following divorce. It's been a pretty terrible year.

But I'm slowly climbing out of the whole.

Found this Sub1 in a local Guitar Gallery. It set there for almost two months and they kept pricing it down and down. I really fell in love with it and when it got down to a price I couldn't pass up, I told them if they threw in a gig bag I would take it. They did and I own it.

Very nice guitar

Thanks Jongitarz, I don't think anyone can "appreciate" what it's like unless they've been there. And thank God for the ability and enjoyment of playing. It's been one of the things I've leaned on through this.

Sorry Glenn, should have read the rules more carefully.

Randy,

Consider yourself lucky, at least you have a MM. I can relate. In the past I had an EVH, Silhouette Special, New Quiltop Wolfgang, and Wolf Special. I made stupid choices and ended up getting rid of them, looking for something "better".

I'm working on training myself to accept things as they are and to accept what I percieve to be flaws(OCD, I'll spare you the details). Now I wish I wish I just had a nice guitar. I have some beaters that play great, but I want something I can admire again. If I could have any of those guitars, I would want the Pink EVH or Red Sil.

A few months ago, I made a deal with the wife that if I got into really good shape, I would get a new guitar. I had my heart set on a Silhouette. I ended up backing out of the deal because right now all our money goes into the kids. Even though it's torture to check out the gtrs here, I still do it.

Someday...........

That's cause you're doing repairs for EBMM (not much work), now if you worked for Fender or Gibson, then you'd probably retire as a millionaire:D
