Question SUB5 electronics

Are the electronics and pickup used in the SUB5 the same as the big brother Stingray?

I searched but got a mix of answers. Some say its the same, others say its outsourced but built to the same specs.

Anyone knows for sure?

The SUB5 uses alnico pickups.

When the SUB's were introduced the SR5 had ceramic pickups. The SR5 recently changed to alnico.

The SUB electronics are either passive or active. The active is the same as the 2 band EQ SR4.
