I had a gig last night at a local club. For some reason, I decided to bring my SUB1 guitar to back up my Silo Special "just in case". Good thing too because half way into the first set, broken D string. I quickly grabbed the SUB1 to finish out the set.
I swear I found a new level of appreciation for the SUB1 last night. To be honest, I haven't played it nearly as much as the Silos as didn't find it quite as comfortable without the contours. However, it played just fine. I even used it for some of our "jam" songs and I didn't feel slowed down one bit. I thought it sounded great, and to be honest, nobody even noticed that I had swapped guitars. (You would figure at least going from Sunburst to Blue would give people a clue.)
I did string up the SS and finish the night with it, but the SUB1 came in handy big time. I think I am bringing it as a backup from now on!
