Okay, I'm into a project that was inspired by some of these wonderful mods that some of you presented here. And my SUB1 is the one to suffer for all my ideas

I ordered different PGs with different routings from Chandler, and the plan is to have them set up with Molex connectors (Tamyia in my case), to be able to easily swap them...just when I feel like swapping them :p

I have three different PGs....first of them will be loaded soon. I call it SUBalpha or mission "Chroma". You may now guess, what's happening there :p I'll be back soon...

The Molex (or any) connector is a great idea. I just bought a bag of them along with some copper tape for shielding. I've loaded a silo spec pg up with silo spec pickups and a silent circuit. Just need to get the battery located and routed in. I may load the aluminum pg back up for changes, like you're talking about.

Okay, almost one year later, it's done....guess my tech had a hard time ;-)

Chrome & Mirror....Air Zone in the bridge, PAF Joe in neck position, all chrome tops....mirror PG from Chandler....500k vol poti, no tone controls (who needs tone controls? ;-)

Five way switch, split options in 2/3/4 (Tele and Strat style sounds)....Air Zone powerful, PAF Joe singing....love it already, though I just brought it home :)

Wow.....I like that! As I looked at the picture, I thought.....none-more-chrome. That is nice. I have everything to do a second loaded PG on mine......but I've been playing it so much that I don't want to take the strings off. Oh, wait....with the connector, I won't have to.

Thanx brothers, I hoped you like it....though I also am a little worried about the cleaning bit ;-) But, yeah...that's one hell of an industrial looking machine...and I have Tamyia connectors installed, so with the next PG project, changing will be done in the blink of an eye.

Sound is powerful, I tested it on my tiny little Kustom Tube12, and it rocks already :) It will be used on a gig that will be recorded in a couple of weeks....so I guess, I'll let you guys participate in that one. Unless I don't play a whole pile of sh!t along, that is, hahahahahahahaha....

Ooooh!

Now, this is spooky.

I may have a hardtail variant with some similar design cues in progress, you definately beat me to it.

My Motrucci II is being changed up right now with a black mirror PG and some different hardware.

Very very nice work there!

To make it even more spooky, let me just tell you that this PG was supposed to end up on a hardtail....I just wasn't able to get my hands on a hardtail so far. It's easier to get used SUBs in the UK, but none of those sellers is willing to ship to Germany, for whatever reason.

As I am working for a subsidiary of a British company, I was already thinking about having guitars send to our HQ and fetch it from there....that might get me in trouble, though, hahahahahaha....

I guess us SUBmaniacs will get you're next mod picturized here, right?!

Thanx mate...I guess we feel similar about our Balls - sometimes you just like the elegance of the high class models, and sometimes you just need the raw, hard industrial look that a modded SUB provides. That's the dark side of the force ;)

Very nice !

Personally, I use the Tone knob (for tone swell, mainly), but if you can live without it, that's fine.
Do you have some pictures of the "inside" ? (I like nice soldering !)
If you want a hardtail, just put a piece of wood ala Rory Gallagher and that's it !
