Very nice !
Do you have some pictures of the "inside" ? (I like nice soldering !)

Sorry, no pics....I just bought the parts and noted down the specs...my tech did the rest. When I change the PG, I will take some shots of the inside :)

It looks even cooler in reality :) If you like mods the SUB is nice option to play around, and the poplar body provides killer tone!

Another awesome mod. That looks fantastic! Hats off to ya.

Thank you, Sir

Lookin good! Is that a direct Satriani influence?

Not necessarily....I like Satch very much but the inspiration for the design dates back to the early 80s with Luke playing a Schecter Strat (I think...) in Red which had a mirror PG. I must have been something like 13 or 14 years old and was absolutely fascinated. Only a few month later there was a mirror PG on a Trans Blue Strat type in a local music store...don't quite remember, I guess it was an Ibby, but not sure. I didn't even dare to play it ;)

When DiMarzio came up with the chrome top option a couple of years ago, I knew that wanted it :) That's it...maybe it was similar with Satch *ggg*

To make it even more spooky, let me just tell you that this PG was supposed to end up on a hardtail....I just wasn't able to get my hands on a hardtail so far. It's easier to get used SUBs in the UK, but none of those sellers is willing to ship to Germany, for whatever reason.

As I am working for a subsidiary of a British company, I was already thinking about having guitars send to our HQ and fetch it from there....that might get me in trouble, though, hahahahahaha....

I guess us SUBmaniacs will get you're next mod picturized here, right?!

There are, I think, plenty of UK forumites that can help you :) If they accept to ship to France I can also be a drop point let me know if you need help

How is the PAF Joe compared to stock pickup?

My SUB didn't have a stock PU in neck postion...but I have played another 2hum SUB before ;-)

The PAF Joe is an extraordinary pickup. Compared to the stock PU it sounds more "open" and it sings :) You may see on the last pic that I am using an Ebow from time to time, and that is just a wonderful combo.

I was a little surprised about the output. Compared to the AirZone in the bridge, I had expected less volume but that wasn't really the case. I use a 500k volume pot right now, which might also add to sound variations. Had to lower both PU heights, as the beast was hard to control in the beginning... had some personal Frankenstein moments at first ;-) And it was so much louder than my Silo, so maybe I have to add more patches to my sound arsenal on the rack. We'll see...

Thanx mate, appreciate the offer. Actually, I already thought of "abusing" some UK forumite myself... but then didn't dare to ask :-/ Maybe that was just stupid?!
