I just got home from a 4-hour gig with my new 'Ray. What a sweet bass! It really sang tonight & I was so happy with the sound it was producing. It even made my old Fender BXR-200 combo amp sound great!

This bass is heavier than my black SR4 (that will be swapped for an SR5), and after 4 hours, my shoulder was a bit sore...nothing that a nice, padded strap can't fix. :D This bass is definitely a keeper!!

Bill, you know that sumbitch would look fine with a tort guard, right?

I think I have a little problem with tort, but still.

I've come to the conclusion that anything looks good with tort!

Bill, I sense that you and I are going to be good friends.

BTW, I'm from the Gulf Coast, lived all over the South (and elsewhere) and Denham Springs seems mighty familiar to me, like I've driven through it more than once.

Where are you?

Denham Springs is about 2 miles east of Baton Rouge, right along I-12. I'm not quite a mile north of the interstate. It's a pretty cool location...a quiet neighborhood, but right in the middle of restaurants, shopping centers, etc.

The only bad thing is that I work on the LSU campus. It's about a 16 mile drive from here to there, but some days the trip in one direction takes over an hour!

Bill, this reminds me that I don't have a lefty natural SR4 to go with my natural SR5....hmmmm.

Beautiful bass, but I agree with Jack, I'd tort it. I had the boys at Bass Central to tort mine before they shipped it.

Enjoy that baby! :D

Your bass has class. That grain is sweet !

I like the Louis Johnson look , with the black guard.

One thing's for sure...no matter which pickguard appears on these EBMM basses, you can't really go wrong with any of them.
