Nashville Namm s so fabulous and old school.....really a throwback show....

SO Im at this restaurant and the Taylor guys are at the one table and the emg at the other and Hartley who I dissed at the other. table with my pals at GC..

The Taylor guys have these really nice people with them and I went over to talk and one of the ladies played a sabre and a sting ray...the next day she came by the booth with a videographer and sat on the ground and started playing...I was in a meeting and in my semi deafened state heard some real good playing so I went to nveswtigate and i was the lady from the night before.....I showed her some more basses and then we just kind o spur of the moment started Jamming....I was not paying attention to the crown as I was really having a blast...We finish about 20 minutes worth and there is Vince Gill applauding. I have known Vince for years but he has opnly heard me play bass..he was very kind regarding my playing....(poor taste obviously)
I asked the guys in the booth How long he was there and they said "the whole thing." THat was fun...BUT

WHat was really fun was getting to meet one of our newest forumites"Slaphappymolly". I liked her so much I gave her the prototype HS sterling BFR that is in the other threads. She is just reallly a great persona dn a really wonderful musician and I have plans for her as far as working with us. (she doesnt know yet) I was going to wai un til we got some of the HD video to introduce her but here you are...She plays Drums, Banjo, Guitar and Bass and Im leaving out a few too.

GREAT show. Great people. Great music ... I don't think you can get a gig in Nashville unless you're a stellar player.

Molly and BP drew a good crowd... fun to watch that little lady dominate a couple of MM basses.

There are some monster players in Nashville that most people never hear of.

BP...do you have any pics of the events you described?

Man,

That was all so cool. I really wish I could have gone to the show. I went to Sam Ash on Sunday, and some of the guys there were talking about going to see Slash and Johnny Winters play at the Gibson Showcase. Now to see the footage of BP jamming, and Vince Gill loving it. I'm kicking myself.

Vince is a cool customer. I actually met him at a hockey game. He sits up in the nosebleeds with the regular Joes. Nice guy, and a hell of an artist.

Stiffness, I don't even think that you can move to Nashville as a musician unless you're stellar. I've yet to see a bad band or artist here. and the great thing is, not every group here is a country act. nashville has its roots in country, but the studio time is cheaper here than it is in L.A. Hell, if Robert Plant can come here and love it for a few months, who couldn't????
