Here are the three rare pieces (two are proto's)

THe first one is a Spalted Top with a full Mahog body and rosewood fretboard
the second is a new color exclusive to jp it is alder bodied with a finish that is a very very slight sparkle that is silky black with a killer roasted birdseye neck....the third is a cherry burst with a wicked top

BP the guitars look simply amazing. I'd love to hear the Mahogany one ... Unfortunately you guys didn't bring those in Chicago so I dont think I'd be able to hear it ...

Hmmm I thought I guy bought a JP and had John sign it immediately ... Honestly not many people knew about this session in particular but ... I guess it was intimate ...

Wow! Simply amazing! The 3rd one is my favorite. I wonder what the all Mahogany body sounds like?

Oh...for goodness sakes!!! Lord have mercy!!! BP, you're killing me!!! This year, I couldn't resist the two 25ths. I've got a Dargie BFR JP6 "In Transit," and you show me this?!? They're painfully gorgeous!!! Thanks for the look!!!

I couldn't access the pics from work... Had to rush over and borrow a colleague's mobile phone! SOOoOooOo Nice!
That roasted birdseye is the duck's nuts.

It would be interesting to hear the side by side comparisons of the body woods. Great stuff, good times :)

The spalted one made my insides hurt a little... I'm a sucker for spalted, absolutely LOVE that guitar. No question whatsoever, I would buy that if it comes out. Just wait a year please ;).

I would buy another one with one of those roasted maple necks btw, stunning stunning stunning.

ummm, BP, I was in Chicago, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT AT LEAST ONE OF THOSE! Ugh! Boston! How could I EVER get one of these now! Who ever walks away with the alder body JP or the all Mahogany JP is a lucky man/woman!

Questions:
Will the guitars with roasted maple (RM) necks always have the "BFR" logo in the 12th fret?
Will the RM necks become a regular option to order?

That spalted top is unbelievable.

It's hard to convey in words (and a man quite versed in diction would so admit) and nothing can be said except that it is a truly stellar piece that screams class.
