We have our first baby due this April...a little anxious about what that change may due to her support in my occasionally nighttime gig...

All Bulls**t aside. Love her and treat her and your child with respect....and you will get so much in return...there will always be bass playing, but a loving wife and child are a once in a liftime gig.

Yeah, for sure, good advice. Luckily the band situation I'm in is spefically set up to be low-stress and all about the enjoyment of playing. We're all older guys (30 +) and have other responsibilities to tend to, so hopefully there shouldn't be any problems.

I've got an email to an industry insider (heh heh) to see if we can get an approximate delivery date on those HH Sterlings.

NAMM might get in the way, but we'll see.

Rayan, about half the time I think you're off your meds, but I do enjoy reading your posts, which says something about me, and I'm not sure what.

Jim....welcome back. As someone once said in a song about aliens, "We are your friends."

Jack

with a cracking solo at the end, great song.

Well she finally arrived! I have to say, I always thought I was content with my Ibanez sr405 and knew the MM Stingray 5 would be a nice upgrade, but I had no clue what a difference it makes! First time hooking up the SR5 to my own amp system and I have to say, I'm extremely happy with the sound and the playability of the new bass. All smiles over here!

Anyone know where I can download or order the manual for the bass? Judging from the other thread, the bass DOB is around April, 2003.

Oops, Sorry 'Strummer',
- this is a 'rough' parody on a famous American movie about a basically 'fun-loving' and somewhat 'spirited' guy who gets himself a bit into trouble with the 'authorities' and finds himself 'checked in' to a mental hospital ...
- the deal is, he's actually a very 'normal', 'fun-loving' guy, who just doesn't have all that much 'appreciation' for 'authority'
- eventually, he earns the 'appreciation' of his fellow 'prisoners', most of whom each have their own unique 'qualities', and most of whom are also 'victims' of a very 'brutal' and 'tragic' and institutionalized system (social machine) of dealing with 'outsiders'
- unfortunately, he takes a serious 'punishment' for being such an 'authentic', 'strong' and 'genuine' character

If you haven't seen the movie, take the time to watch it if the opportunity presents itself - it's "Seriously Funny", if not 'critical' of North American 'mental health institutions' ...

My 'weird joke' is that I've used an 'interoffice memo' format to create my little 'parody' as a 'commentary' on the theme of "Caring For Bass Players Waiting For Beloved New Music Man Instruments" ...
I seem to recall 'jonguitarz' referring to "Sickos" ... ???
