Well, Just thought I would share my impressions of the sterling ax40's. Took my lunch break today at a local GC and as I'm browsing I see down the line a pinkish axis. At first I thought it was a pink tribute but as I got closer it was an ax40. Very nice top, I know they advertise the new color as purple but it definitely looks pink. Anyways, played it for about 30 mins and was floored at how nice it felt and how good it sounded for the $500 price point. Fairly well setup from the factory. Fit and finish was beautiful. Anyways, Since Im a "country of manufacture" whore I was turned off by the made in Indonesia tag but damn, what an amazing guitar for the price!

Yeah, they play very "smoothly", great guitar at that price point.

As far as the country of manufacture, well, we got ta get used to that in the USA - it will only get worse. I just hope EBMM (and the other American guitar makers) can hang on to the "made in USA" tag for as long as possible (for many reasons!) I know BP is trying hard.
